Meet your instructor: Calvin Maurice — Photography

Calvin Maurice

Photography

Calvin brings 10 years of photography experience, including seven years and 400 weddings. His work has grown from studio portraits to events and destination weddings.

He remembers struggling with posing and getting sharp images. Understanding the science behind photography changed how he worked—and gave him the confidence to guide his clients. He teaches camera settings, posing, lighting, and on-camera flash with that same practical approach.

For Calvin, a wedding is about legacy and love: the couple at the center, and the families and relationships around them. His sessions focus on preparation, clear direction, and helping you feel more confident with a camera in your hands.

Meet your instructor: Daka David — Videography

Daka David

Videography

Daka David founded A Love Experience, an Atlanta-based wedding production company, and has filmed weddings in Dubai, Hawaii, Cabo, and South Africa. He specializes in wedding cinematography, lighting, storytelling, and direction.

He remembers finding videography daunting while learning his camera. Early in his career, his gear was stolen the night before a wedding. He had to rebuild and keep moving forward.

His sessions focus on natural and artificial light, comfortable direction, and building films around emotion and dialogue. Learn to anticipate the coverage a scene needs, work smoothly with your team, and capture the moments that tell a complete wedding story.
